PARKING charges will return from April 26, Fife Council have announced. The fees were suspended during lockdown but with traffic levels set to increase, as Covid restrictions are lifted, they are set to resume. The council said there is rising demand for parking as more people go back to workplaces, visit shops and travel for leisure. Senior manager for roads and transportation, Derek Crowe, said: “The return to normal parking measures, including parking changes, will ensure local businesses benefit from the turnover of customers that the charges promote and help them get back to more normal footfall. It is vital that we support the retail sector at this very difficult time.
