While both eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 east of Eagle opened just before noon Friday, U.S. Highway 6 closed east of town remained closed. Those closures continued to foul Friday morning traffic. Residents reported long.
Last December, Brandon Flecksteiner was named interim Brush Chief of Police after former chief, Derek Bos, left to take the same position in the Western Slope town of Eagle. On Wednesday evening the Brush City Council held a special meeting that saw a promotion of one BPD officer, two new officers sworn in, and last but not least the removal of the interim label from Flecksteiner’s title.
