so again, we re following breaking news out of the washington, d.c. area. this is in silver spring maryland, about 20 minutes from washington, d.c. montgomery county police department says a gunman has entered the building you re looking watt just the discovery channel communications building, and has taken at least one individual hostage. corporal dan fritz told one local channel the gunman was in a building, the person inside the building has told the associated press that the man had something strapped to his chest and there were hostages. the person refused to be identified but saying they were inside that building. so this is a developing, breaking news story that we are following out of silver spring, maryland. right now we re going to listen into wrc. that s our local nbc affiliate in that area. a couple of blocks there barely about two blocks from there is the silver spring mess troe station. is that shut down as well? i don t know at this point. we did see someon
