CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - An inmate is accused of attacking and injuring three detention officers and a sergeant at Mecklenburg County Detention Center.
Officials say the incident involved 24-year old Dequan Timmons (PID# 469227), an inmate at the jail.
On Tuesday, around 7:21 a.m., officials say a POD officer ordered inmate to lock down, but Timmons reportedly refused. The POD officer called for assistance so a sergeant and two other detention officers responded.
