The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the dissolution of the Executive Committee of the party in Rivers State, thereby giving full control of the party in the state allegedly to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike. The party also announced the constitution of a Caretaker Committee to undertake the electronic registration of its members in the state starting from ward and local government levels. The Caretaker Committee led by Chief Tony Okocha, is reportedly drawn from mostly loyalists of the immediate past governor.
