Tipperary Projects Share €282,000 In Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme

Tipperary Mid West Radio Cahir Castle To Swiss Cottage Blueway (Image: takemewalking.com) Tipperary is to benefit from â¬282,000 funding for two projects under Measure 2 of the Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme. Cahir Suir Blueway Infrastructure Enhancement will receive â¬200,000. This funding will be used to develop the walkway from Cahir Castle to the Swiss Cottage, while Beara-Breifne Way, connecting Lorrha to Portumna, was allocated almost â¬82,000. The Minister for Rural & Community Development, Heather Humpreys, announced over â¬6.5 million in funding today, for 38 projects under Measure 2 of the scheme. She is expected to make a further announcement in respect of measure 3 projects, which are larger projects accessing funding of up to â¬500,000 each, in the coming weeks.

Amendment bill to confine ownership of vet practices to practitioners brought forward

Deputy Jackie Cahill Tipperary TD Jackie Cahill brought forward the Veterinary Practice (Amendment) Bill 2021 in the Dáil this afternoon (Thursday, February 18). The bill intends to amend the Veterinary Practice Act 2005-2012 with the objective of confining ownership of veterinary practices to registered veterinary practitioners. This would ensure that the registered veterinary practitioner in charge is an integral part of the ownership structure, according to the Fianna Fáil TD.
