KUALA LUMPUR (April 6): The double-digit growth in exports of electrical and electronic products (E&E) will likely continue in March and the remaining months of this year, following an improving outlook for the external environment post Covid-19.
Deputy International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Lim Ban Hong said E&E exports grew by 13.1% in January 2021 and the expansion continued in February 2021 with a 24.4% growth registered.

PETALING JAYA: A local green furniture maker managed to break into the US and European markets via the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (Matrade) Export Promotion Programme, says Datuk Lim Ban Hong.
The Deputy International Trade and Industry Minister said One Tech (M) Sdn Bhd, an SME in Ampang, suffered a decline in orders during the initial outbreak of Covid-19 last year. With Matrade’s programmes, its orders have since increased, enabling the company to get through the economic downturn, he said in a statement on Tuesday (March 16).
Lim said One Tech, a pioneer in green furniture manufacturing using sustainable and reclaimed materials, entered international markets by selling its products on Amazon and other major digital marketing platforms.
