DETROIT (WXYZ) â Authorities are investigating after shots were fired at a Detroit fire truck Saturday evening.
The truck was leaving out on an emergency run around 9:40 p.m. on Saturday when firefighters heard five gunshots, according to Deputy Fire Commissioner Dave Fornell. It happened in the 13000 block of Dexter Ave., near Oakman.
Before shots were fired, as the fire truck was attempting to exit the garage, a dark-colored Chevy sedan, possibly a Cobalt or Cruze, was blocking it from exiting the driveway. The driver of the rig honked at the driver, who then moved. As the truck passed the vehicle the shots were heard, officials said. Police are now looking for the driver of the dark-colored vehicle.
