Diana Schick was cited for a DUI in 2011.
PEORIA A West Peoria woman faces a felony count following a fatal wreck in Peoria earlier this month.
Diana M. Schick, 40, has been charged in Peoria County Circuit Court with leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident involving a death, a Class 1 felony. That classification is punishable by up to 15 years in prison.
Schick is being held at the Peoria County Jail under $200,000 bond, meaning she would have to post $20,000 to be released. A preliminary hearing is set for March 11.
Schick was arrested Feb. 12 after a three-vehicle wreck in the 100 block of South Western Avenue. Shortly after 6 p.m., emergency personnel arrived to find an SUV off the road, tipped onto its passenger side. Of two occupants, one was partially ejected and pinned under the SUV, according to a Peoria Police Department report. An officer checked her pulse but found none, the report stated.
