After finishing up his day job, Mario Rojas was heading in to work a night shift at a Church’s Chicken restaurant in Otay Mesa in 2019 it was just his third or fourth day there when an ominous feeling hit.
“I felt something was gonna happen,” he said in court Thursday.
By the end of the night, Rojas was in the hospital with two gunshot wounds one to his stomach and one to his arm. Two other coworkers had been shot one of them was dead after a gunman opened fire on employees, reportedly after a dispute over a counterfeit bill.
