Dir Tourism Flags Off 4× 4 Extreme Terrain Expedition for North Kashmir

Says Kashmir has diversity of tourism products with its adventure potential SRINAGAR- In order to promote adventure tourism activities and to uncover new tourist destinations in remote and far-flung areas of north Kashmir, the Director Tourism Kashmir Dr. G N Itoo on Friday flagged off 4×4 Extreme Terrain Expedition for north Kashmir here at Royal Springs Golf Course. A group of 13 expert expeditions will cover North Kashmir s off road places including Kupwara, Tangdhar, Keran, Macchil, Watlab, Farkiya Gali, Zardara Gali and other remote places during the expedition known as Across Shamshabadi from February 19 to March 01, 2021. The expeditions will drive 4×4 vehicles on difficult terrains and explore beautiful lesser known places in North Kashmir.

The meeting was attended by Director ULB, Additional CEO, SASB; SSP Security Jammu, SSP Traffic Jammu, Project Director NHAI, GM JKRTC, Deputy Director Tourism, ADDC Jammu, besides senior functionaries of JPDCL, Jal Shakti, PWD, JMC, FCS&CA, Health and other concerned while Deputy Commissioner of Kathua, Samba, Udhampur and Ramban alongwith other concerned officers attended the meeting through video conferencing.

Bike Rally taken out to mark National Tourism Day Bike Rally taken out to mark National Tourism Day Excelsior Sports Correspondent JAMMU, Jan 25: To celebrate the National Tourism Day, 2021, a Bike Rally was today organised by Directorate of Tourism Jammu. The rally was flagged off by Mayor, Jammu, Chander Mohan Gupta and Director Tourism, R K Katoch, from Jammu Tawi Golf Course. Around 50 bikers participated in the Bike Rally, which will cover tourist destinations of Surinsar, Mansar, Mahoregarh Fort and Chichi Mata Mandir. The Director Tourism, informed that the objective of organising a Bike Rally is to promote tourist destinations in the UT and to explore the unexplored destinations of Jammu Division.
