BELL COUNTY, Texas The Warren family, and their Attorney Lee Merritt, have repeatedly stated the family called for a mental health deputy on January 10, when Patrick Warren was eventually shot and killed by the first officer responding to the call. A mental health deputy responded to the home the day before when Warren was having a previous mental health issue.
