SRINAGAR: Deputy Commissioner Reasi Charandeep Singh today said that the district administration has established a vaccination grid to achieve 100 percent inoculation of age appropriate groups in the district.
Briefing media persons about covid situation in the district, he gave details about positivity rate, recovery rate, testing and vaccination. “The daily positivity rate is declining and the recovery rate is increasing, indicating signs of a better situation in the district, ” he added.
Charandeep Singh said that the village level vaccination grid involving 6-7 employees, Asha workers works under supervision of a senior officer deployed to monitor the progress to ensure 100% vaccination coverage. He added that active involvement of DDC, BDC chairpersons and sarpanchs will help in mobilizing the public for vaccination.

Senior Superintendent of Police, Shalinder Singh and Tehsildar Reasi Munshi Ram accompanied the DC. He asked the shopkeepers to maintain social distancing norms and advised the public not to move in the town without face masks. The DC inquired about the enforcement of Covid guidelines including wearing of face masks, maintaining social distance and maintaining sanitation and hygiene in the Business establishments.
Charandeep Singh also said that there is late reporting of Covid +ve cases, so the government has decided to conduct house to house verification to check the health status of people. He further said that if Home isolation SoP is not followed properly, then those peoples will be brought to covid centres. He also said that around 14000 vaccination had done at Mahore.
