KEETMANSHOOP
Tensions are running high in the Landless People s Movement (LPM) as the party deals with the aftermath of deputy leader, Henny Seibeb, being dragged from the National Assembly recently.
This while allegations have arisen from Swapo s Keetmanshoop office that the LPM might have had a hand in vandalism.
On Friday, 16 April, Swapo s southern office was broken into and vandalised in what is believed to have been an arson attempt.
According to LPM, the ruling party is alleging that they had a hand in the attempt to burn down the office.
“[Matheus] Mumbala is claiming that LPM was involved in the attempt to commit arson at their office. They misadvised the secretary-general of Swapo. There aren t even any policy papers in that office, why would we want to burn the place?” Seibeb asked on Sunday.
