worst thing that happened in the presidency of most american presidents. but that was just yesterday. that s just what happened yesterday while at the same time this president also has his campaign chairman, his deputy campaign chairman and his national security adviser, all either in jail or out of jail, but awaiting sentencing right now. awaiting sentencing on felony charges. right? and on top of everything that s happening right now, the president has that that he has to think about every day as well. and then today, today happened. including this dramatic turn of events in federal court today in washington, d.c. quote, the judge, all right, mr. kennerson for the prosecution and mr. driscoll for the defense. do either of you have any questions as to the defendant s competence to plead at this time? mr. driscoll for the defense, no, your honor. mr. kenner for the prosecution, no, your honor. the judge, based on answers that
registered foreign agent during his time in the campaign, and ditto for the deputy campaign chairman. the national security adviser during the campaign and at the white house has similarly pleaded guilt ky to crimes including being an unregistered foreign agent in turkey, and now we have the president s own lawyer pleading guilty to crimes and directly implicating him, and this is where i think i want to take a little issue with something alisyn said quickly, which is the president is getting away unscathed. michael cohen has landed the only two court filing punches on donald trump. he said in both of his plea agreements that his felonies were at the direction of and in the aid of individual one, donald trump himself, and donald trump was aware of these lies and conspiracies and that he
bradley, john carry on the democratic side of it. i m not sure when the concept for this letter was borne, but i m sure it was speeded up after individual one was described by the federal prosecutors. yeah, i mean, this is people from both sides coming together and saying this is bigger than one party. this is about rule of law in america, democracy, things we should agree on. and i think when you look at the totality of the picture here you have five people around the president, senior people. his campaign chairman, deputy campaign chairman, foreign securitya advisor and the net i closing in on donald trump. you have credible allegations now of him basically committing felonies around campaign finance. you have him conspiring with the russians. you also have the obstruction of justice charges and then you

nearing its conclusion, which is why they wrote that letter. as you put these pieces together, do you have a sense of where, a guess, i would say, about where we are in the timetable of the mueller investigation? you know, this is a really tricky question. i think one thing that we can say for sure is that mueller is very far along in his investigation, that when you have as a cooperating witness the national security adviser, the president s personal lawyer, the deputy campaign chairman, and then for a time in paul manafort the campaign chairman, you have a lot of people that are participating in this investigation, helping yo trying to advance it. so i think we re looking at mueller moving forward, but one of the problems, lawrence, is everywhere mueller looks, he finds potential crimes. and so that is, how does mueller cut the threads on the investigation and bring it to a close is a big question. we may be far from the end.
