Any changes to major Limerick road will throw whole project into doubt

Limerick s Live 95 Search By Live95 News Team Limerick.ie Any change to the current plans for the Coonagh Knockalisheen Road will throw the whole project into doubt.  Deputy Brian Leddin this week said on Live95 s Limerick Today that his party supports two thirds of the project, including connectivity for Moyross, but would like to explore better alternatives to the dual carriage way option.  Fine Gael public representatives from both Limerick and Clare held a meeting following his interview and expressed unanimous support for the road and called on Minister Eamon Ryan to sign off on the original project without making any changes.

The Transport Minister has thrown the major road project into doubt as he continues to refuse to sign off on it, in favour of a potential rail option. He has been met with strong opposition from the entire Moyross area, local government representatives and Limerick TDs. Live95 s Limerick Today has featured a range of interviews from public representatives to representatives of business groups and local community activists all condemning the decision to delay the project.
