illegal aliens. there is of substantial and legal difference between the two of them. these people have already been issued deportation orders and the criminals that have committed additional crimes, not just crossing the border. yet, we have your party specifically outraged for us trying to deport people. okay, so the question is, the raids, the ice raid that we been hearing about, there specifically, we are told aimed at those people whose been given court orders to leave the country. and yet your party is opposing it. why is that. let s be clear, if you look at the past presidents and their tenure over the past ten years, we ve seen deportations be much higher under obama, higher than that under bush and higher than that under clinton. i think all of those, most of
here as john notes and has to defend it. i suspect that most of the democratic candidates, certainly the ones that seriously hope to compete for the presidency would take the position that violent criminals who have received deportation orders would be deported. i don t think there are very many people that would support the idea that people here illegally, then committed violent crimes and been convicted of those crimes should be loud to stay in the united states. so after the vice president pence, after he toured the detention centers this week in texas, he tried to defend the conditions that he saw. congressional democrats, being, touring some of those facilities themselves. political reporting that the fight among democrats over that border funding could intensify if congress considers a funding bill, dhs, homeland security department. john, how are you expecting the dems and progressive democrats to face that upcoming negotiation? i think that s the big elephant in the room he
migrants who have been served deportation orders. yeah. i mean it we really are we ve been saying this for years, right, but we really are in a remarkable place right now. and by remarkable i don t mean like this is great, right. i mean who would have thought that we would have been in this position, that these kinds of conversations and these kinds of words were coming from the president, but also the conversations and the volleying back and forth between some of the new freshmen members and the speakers, you know, conference, it s just been it s like watching a tennis match. you don t know what s going to come next. you don t know who s going to volley something like right across your face. i don t think any of these conversations are good at all. no. or these accusations, between everybody. it s just been crazy. david, it s so hurtful. it s hurtful on so many levels
