Ysabel Gerrard is a lecturer (assistant professor) in the Department of Sociological Studies at the University of Sheffield (UK). Her research has been published in academic venues like New Media and Society and popular venues like VICE. Ysabel is currently writing a book about young people and social media content policies for the University of California Press, and is an unpaid member of Meta’s Suicide and Self-Injury Advisory Board.
