Norwich The City Council late Monday approved a settlement agreement with a former assistant animal control officer who had sued the city, alleging it discriminated against her while she was pregnant and retaliated when she filed a complaint.
The council voted 6-0 to approve the settlement with former Assistant Animal Control Officer Donna Gremminger following a closed-door meeting. The proposal includes a payment of $25,000 to Gremminger.
The resolution stated the settlement covers a dismissal of her suit and “all claims relative to her employment and separation from employment.” Gremminger’s employment with the city ended Nov. 27, 2020, city Human Resources Director Brigid Marks said, but she could not provide details.
