2 local COVID-related deaths reported | News, Sports, Jobs

bjohnson@theintermountain.com ELKINS A Randolph County woman and a Barbour County man were among COVID-19-related deaths reported by state officials during the Christmas holiday. The deaths of an 86-year-old woman from Randolph and a 70-year-old Barbour man were confirmed by the state Department of Health & Human Resources. “As we celebrate this holiday, many West Virginians have lost loved ones, have loved ones who are sick, or may be sick themselves, while others are coping with separation from friends and family as we stay distanced,” Bill J. Crouch, DHHR cabinet secretary, said. “Our hearts go out to those who have been affected by this pandemic and to those who may be experiencing increased anxiety or depression. Please check on your family or friends.”
