Mayor John Leggett welcomes new Crown funding to start
turning plans into action for restoring the health of the Te
Hoiere/Pelorus catchment.
Announced by the Minister
for the Environment Hon David Parker at the weekend, this $1
million investment by the Ministry’s Freshwater
Improvement Fund will join a $100,000 investment by the
Council and sizable financial and in-kind community support
over the next five years to fund the initial stages of the
