DENVILLE, NJ Many kinds of heroes have been praised and recognized in and around Denville Township. In March, married couple and Denville residents, Wharton Police Detective Richard Ornelas and Detective Sergeant Christina Kovacs of the Morris County Sheriff’s Office, were on a vacation with family in Montana at the Big Sky Resort when an accident occurred, threatening a life.

MORRISTOWN, NJ – Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L), a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. (NYSE: FE), is conducting tree trimming work along more than 3,700 miles of power lines across its 13-county service territory as part of its annual vegetation management program. This work helps keep power flowing to customers around the clock by preventing tree-related outages.
So far this year, tree contractors have trimmed along approximately 400 miles of electric lines in the JCP&L service area, with an additional 3,300 miles expected to be completed by year s end. Overall, JCP&L expects to spend approximately $41 million on its vegetation management program in 2021.

Recently, several bills were signed by Gov. Phil Murphy providing the details to the constitutional amendment passed by voters in 2020 ending the state’s Marijuana prohibitions. As it is often said, the devil is in the details.
These bills cover a range of issues that will delineate exactly how the state of New Jersey will now deal with legalized pot. Other states that have legalized marijuana have had their share of post legalization problems which, obviously, the Garden State is trying to avoid.
