Wellesley Homefront: Denton Road house benefits from top-down renovations
By Carole LaMond, Correspondent
One evening during the blizzard of 1978, a teenage boy sat in his bedroom at 10 Denton Road in Wellesley and wrote about “the storm of the century” and the unexpected long holiday from school. He described unplowed streets closed to traffic and days spent cross-country skiing and sledding in the neighborhood with his friend. He should be doing his history homework, he wrote, but instead he finished the letter, wrapped it in plastic and slipped it under a floorboard where it became a mini-time capsule waiting for a future reader.
