Former Gov. C. Elmer Anderson is the only governor to have two portraits in the state capitol. It seems the portrait artist worked from a photograph, and it was printed backwards. Thus Anderson s hair was parted on the wrong side – the right instead of the left. So he has two portraits at the capitol, one painted on top of the other.
