Baltimore County’s new police chief, Robert O. McCullough, said he will prioritize community policing, crime prevention and hiring and retaining more officers, along with increasing police training and making schools safer.
The Baltimore County Council voted unanimously on Monday to confirm Robert McCullough, a retired Baltimore County Police colonel, as the county’s first Black police chief.
Baltimore County will have a Black police chief for the first time in its history if the county council approves County Executive Johnny Olszewski Jr.’s nominee, retired county police Col. Robert McCullough.
