Cathy Peacock joined 130 fellow graduates of the archdiocesan high school in Radnor for an evening to recognize longtime teachers and to encourage faith, friendship and generosity.
HAVERFORD âFirefighters buried one of their own Friday. Oakmont Fire Co. Deputy Chief Nick Sava, 65, expired on Dec. 14 from complications of COVID-19.
Sava, who had been in excellent health, had been hospitalized at Bryn Mawr Hospital for 10 days before his death.
âNick has long been an active and dedicated volunteer at Oakmont, serving in multiple leadership positions, up to the rank of deputy chief. Savaâs funeral took place Friday afternoon at St. Denis Catholic Church. While pandemic restrictions limited those in attendance, more than 1,700 people viewed the services on the churchâs Facebook page.
