hurricane irene in the northeast. today, the national guard is dropping food and water to those cut off from the flooding in vermont. among those cut off is an entire wedding party stranded after a bridge collapsed. more than 100 people from this wedding will be stuck for at least four days until they have a road out. and in vermont alone, nearly 300 roads are closed and 35 bridges are impassable. a few hours ago, president obama said today that the victims of the storm have the supportf of the government. a lot of the fellow citizens are still reeling from hurricane irene and its aftermath. as a government, we are going to make sure that states and communities have the support they need so their folks can recover. nbc s rod allen is in brattleboro, vermont, which has seen some of of the worst flooding. ron, i saw the shot earlier today and it is unbelievable to see from a larger vantage point where you are standing right now. it is, tamron. this is about as bad as it g
