Suspected Killers Of US-based Nigerian Dennis Abuda Have Been Arrested By The Police
The Edo State Police Command has arrested suspected kidnappers and killers of a US-based Nigeran, Prince Dennis Abuda.
Police spokesman, Chidi Nwabuzor, made this known to newsmen on Thursday in Benin, the state capital. He disclosed that the late Abuda who came into the country for a visit hails from Fugar, Etsako Central local government area of Edo.
Nwabuzor said the suspects were arrested by operatives of the anti-kidnapping and cybercrimes unit in collaboration with vigilantes and hunters.
He said while Abuda was shot dead by his abductors, security operatives chased the kidnappers which led to the release of three other abductees who are brothers of the deceased.

Police authorities in Edo State say the command has arrested some persons in connection with the kidnapping and killing of Prince Dennis Abuda.
Speaking on the development Thursday, police spokesman Chidi Nwabuzor said the hoodlums were arrested by operatives of the anti-kidnapping and cybercrimes unit in collaboration with vigilantes and hunters.
According to the police spokesperson, the victim’s body was located along the Benin-Ahor-Lagos bypass, further impelling deeper investigations into the crime.

While Mr. Abuda was shot dead by his abductors, a heated chase by security operatives caused the kidnappers to release three other abductees who happened to be the deceased’s brothers.

The Commissioner of Police in Edo State, Philip Ogbadu, on Wednesday, led some police operatives to a forest along the Benin bypass, in search of the killers of a U.S.-based Nigerian, Dennis Abuda, who was killed on Saturday by his abductors.
The slain Mr Abuda, who is based in Atlanta, Georgia, was abducted along the Benin bypass by unknown gunmen alongside other members of his family who were travelling with him to Lagos to catch a flight to the U.S.
The Abudas were said to have left Fugar, in Etsako Central Local Government Area in the early hours of Saturday in a Toyota Sienna with registration number, LAGOS, SMK 606 GQ, when they were ambushed by the gunmen.
