Barstow Community College has announced an inaugural competition in partnership with Barstow High School that officials say will allow students to present business ideas for a chance to win money and connect with a consultant.
With the 1st annual Quick Pitch Competition, BCC and Barstow High School students will compete via three-minute pitch videos to see who has the most innovative ideas for a new start-up, or an idea that improves upon an existing business.
Dr. Crystal Nasio, dean of Instruction, Workforce and Economic Development at BCC, said the college and high school hope the contest will inspire the new generation of entrepreneurs in the High Desert.
