Consumer Directed Choices expands services to more N Y counties

ALBANY, N.Y. — Consumer Directed Choices (CDChoices), a nonprofit corporation providing Fiscal Intermediary payroll and program administration services to seniors and people with disabilities (consumers) who employ Personal Assistants through the Consumer Directed Personal Assistance (CDPA) Medicaid program, is announcing the expansion of their geographical footprint. This comes under the strategic vision of the organization’s Board of Directors and newly appointed Chief Executive Officer Christopher Graber, and on the heels of a recent rebranding initiative at the New Year symbolizing a new era for the organization. The nonprofit has more than 20 years of experience empowering consumers to live independently. Prior to the expansion, the nonprofit has served more than 3,400 consumers throughout 19 counties in the Greater Capital Region, Hudson Valley, and North Country. The amount of vaccine allotted to each state isn t keeping up with the number of folks who want to be vaccinated. Add to that the addition of the so-called 1C group – folks 65 and older and those with underlying health issues – were just added to the “vaccinate now” list on the heels of the 1B group – 75-plus – while the 1A group – health care workers – were still being vaccinated.
