A Russian exile was strangled in his own home by a third party, a coroner has ruled.
Businessman Nikolai Glushkov, who was critical of Russian President Vladimir Putin, was found dead in New Malden in south-west London in March 2018.
Comment: The BBC is trying to imply that Glushkov being a critic of Putin and his murder are in some way connected. However it s likely that numerous Russian criminals are critical of Putin because it is his policies that have put an end to the rampant criminality that were destroying the country. This is also one reason why the vast majority of Russians have repeatedly voted Putin back into power.
A Russian man critical of the Kremlin was strangled in his own home by a third party, a coroner has ruled, after evidence suggested his death was made to look like suicide.
Father-of-two Nikolay Glushkov was found dead in the hallway of his home in New Malden, south-west London, a week after former Russian double agent Sergei Skripal, 66, and his daughter Yulia, 33, were poisoned with nerve agent Novichok in Salisbury.
Paramedics arriving at Mr Glushkov’s home on March 12 2018 immediately raised concerns that he had been killed because of the way suicide paraphernalia appeared to be deliberately placed.
A post-mortem examination report concluded Mr Glushkov, 68, “died at the hands of a third party, due to compression of the neck, followed by the staging of a scene”.

The father-of-two, who was deputy director of Russian airline Aeroflot and a close friend of Vladimir Putin critic Boris Berezovsky who was found hanged at his Berkshire home in 2013, was discovered with fractures and bruises matching a garrotted sleeper hold , West London Coroner s Court heard.
