Joyce Beatty was arrested by Capitol Police, hands zip-tied behind her back, while participating in a voting rights demonstration Thursday.   Beatty, who is chair of the Congressional Black Caucus, marched alongside civil rights advocates at the Hart Senate Office Building near the Capitol to protest a push to pass new restrictions on voting in states across the country. She posted a set of pictures to Twitter showing an officer zip-tying her hands together behind her back in the building s atrium with the caption Let the people vote.
