Passengers at Glasgow Airport faced delays, after heavy snow caused flights to be suspended for a while. There was snow too across Northern England and the southern pennines. The rac has warned that driving conditions will be very difficult, if not impossible, in the worst affected areas. Our correspondent Judith Moritz reports.
