Whether you head out to one of the limited screenings in theaters or check out the film when it releases digitally this June, it s kind of necessary for fans to check out
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba confirmed a second season is coming our way this Fall, and it will pick up immediately after the events of the movie.
Mugen Train film, there will be very little recap when the second season begins. You can also check out the original chapters the movie is based on through Viz Media s digital Shonen Jump library, but the movie is probably going to be the much more fun way of going about it!
Demon Slayer: Mugen Train Breaks Down the Breathing Styles
These styles are unique to each sword fighter in the franchise, and the first season of the season introduced Tanjiro to the Hashira. These Hashira are masters of their respective styles, and upon getting to fully have a conversation with the Flame Hashira, Kyojuro Rengoku, during the events of the
Mugen Train movie, Tanjiro (and fans) got a much deeper break down of these styles.

Mugen Train picks up minutes after the end of the first season and sees Tanjiro and Nezuko board a mysterious train together with Inosuke Hashibira and Zenitsu Agatsuma in order to provide backup to the Flame Hashira in his mission. Although Tanjiro had crossed paths with Rengoku before, this was the first real opportunity to ask about the mysteries of the Hinokami Kagura.
Demon Slayer: Mugen Train Explores Rengoku s Complicated Family
Along with this closer look at Kyojuro and his abilities, fans also got to see more of the complicated past for the Rengoku family as a whole. Because while Kyojuro keeps his spirits up with a fiery demeanor, it s soon revealed that he s carrying a dark and heavy burden due to the loss of his mother and a father who s currently fighting what seems to be a bout of depression in the wake of her death.

The main mission of the
Mugen Train film sees Kyojuro and the others fall into a deep sleep thanks to the demon Enmu s power. It s through these dreams we get a crucial look into each fighter s deeper personalities, and Kyojuro s dream ends up taking him back to a particular moment of his past. He recalls when he first told his dad about his becoming the official Flame Hashira, but his father pays him no mind.
