The ministries of Planning and Rural Development and the Cambodia Indigenous Peoples Alliance (CIPA) on November 4 jointly organised an online conference to announce their joint report on the demographic and socio-economic realities of the indigenous peoples in the country.

8 Food safety is the processes of handling, preparing and storing of food in ways that prevent contamination by toxic chemicals
9 or pathogenic microbes, which result in food-borne illness.
Food poisoning occurs as a result of consuming food contaminated with microorganisms or their toxins; the contamination starting from inadequate preservation methods, unhealthy handling practices, cross-contamination from food contact surfaces, or from persons hiding the microorganisms in their nails and on the skin.
11 The presence of poor hygienic practices during food preparation, handling and storage creates the conditions that allow the proliferation and transmission of disease causing organisms such as bacteria, viruses and other food-borne pathogens.
