that what the republicans are giving the democrats is the ability to avoid an international financial catastrophe, a complete implosion of our financial markets and the loss of our credibility in terms of u.s. currency and in return they get trillions of dollars of cuts to the physical and human infrastructure programs that makes this country strong and great, but, you know, that s the compromise they are insisting upon. i do think with the mix that the president has proposed there must be a majority of rational responsible members of the house who are willing to accept it, and we can move beyond this point, but i can t guarantee that. this is i ve never seen as radical ideologically oriented composition of the house, even under the gingrich republican years. this is the worst ever because they really don t know enough to know what they don t know.
