Atlanta, Georgia President-Elect Joe Biden made his first post-election campaign stop in Georgia on Tuesday, ahead of the pair of runoff Senate elections slated for January. Biden traveled to the Peach State to stump for Democratic Senatorial candidates Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock, who hope to unseat incumbent GOP Senators David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler, respectively.
Ahead of Biden’s remarks, Ossoff unintentionally bolstered the GOP’s argument surrounding the runoffs. He told supporters that Republicans, led by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) would be a firewall against Biden’s legislative agenda.
.@ossoff: “Georgia, we need to do right by Joe Biden. We need to make sure Joe Biden can pass his agenda. Because if Mitch McConnell controls the Senate, they re gonna try to do to Joe and Kamala just like they tried to do to President Obama .” #gapol#gasenpic.twitter.com/bMPhO3afuz Greg Bluestein (@bluestein) Decembe
A group of ministers in Georgia urged Democratic Senate candidate Rev. Raphael Warnock to denounce abortion.
28 ministers from Georgia signed a letter of petition to Rev. Raphael Warnock, a senatorial candidate from the Democratic Party, CBN reported. The letter appealed to Warnock to denounce abortion as it goes beyond biblical principles.
The group of ministers reacted as Warnock claimed himself as a pro-choice pastor who believes that abortion is an act of human agency and freedom. He declared that he will always fight for reproductive justice.
In an interview, Rev. Dean Nelson, Executive Director at Human Coalition and one who spearheaded the letter doubts Warnock s abortion advocacy. He said you cannot talk about justice outside of the womb yet ignore justice inside the womb.

Atlanta, Georgia – Local law enforcement officials spoke to reporters on Tuesday morning outside of the Georgia State Capitol, laying out what is at stake in the pair of runoff Senate elections set to occur in January. Ahead of Joe Biden s visit to Georgia to campaign for Democratic Senatorial candidates Jon Ossoff and Rev. Raphael Warnock, the officials denounced both candidates anti-police rhetoric.
Outgoing Gwinett Sheriff Butch Conway said that reelecting incumbent GOP Senators David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler is crucial for the future of funding for law enforcement.
“It’s a sad time to be leaving when you have Democrat politicians running for Senate that want to defund police. We have to have more money for police if we want better police. It’s crazy talk to say you want to defund police. The country will be less safe; I urge all Republicans, Independents, and Conservative Democrats to make sure we don’t have a government c
