Presidential office under fire for overlooking public sentiment on real estate, fairness

Cheong Wa Dae is subject to unrelenting criticisms over its system of vetting candidates for official positions to serve as President Moon Jae-in s aides, as a series of controversies has continued over the true qualifications of many of those selected.
Casting greater doubts is Cheong Wa Dae s sensitivity to public sentiment, as it persists in appointing secretaries and other top ranking officials despite knowing that their questionable career backgrounds and real estate trading records may trigger public uproar.

It is common and may be right from a partisan point of view that members of a ruling party defend policies of the government and the party and avoid making criticism toward figures of the ruling camp.
But that is not the standard for Park Seong-min, a female college student who was appointed as a member of the ruling Democratic Party of Korea s (DPK) Supreme Council in August.
