on. well, first off, at a time of inflation, they would probably time not to spend them hundreds of billions of dollars in the first place. joining us now, co-founder of punch bowl news, good morning, john, thanks for being with us. potentially a huge win for democrats, take us behind the scenes, what are your sources telling you about how this all finally went down to win over senator sinema s support. there was a lot of lobbying of kyrsten sinema. she had, she had actually never been pushed to the limit on the build back better act, back in december, which is a much bigger version of this bill. joe manchin and the west virginia democrat, he ended up stopping that bill, so kyrsten sinema, her issues were never worked out. and you know, you need to kind of deal with schumer, so sinema was the big vote here. and we all thought she would probably get there, and the
was comfortable with it. and certainly at times it feels like sinema almost prides herself of being a bit of an enigma and it would be difficult to be the lone democrat to take down the bill that has so many of the party s priorities and obviously if this pass over the next two days and goes to president biden s desk for signature, a big win for democrats and gives democrats something for which they can run on this november but you also tweeted it is a big moment for senate majority leader chuck schumer. tex us about that. schumer to his credit never gave up on manchin. i mean he clearly had, you know, huge differences with him, they were upset, a lot of people upset about the filibuster, and when you get rid of that, voting rights issue, a huge issue, and opposed the party on nominee, but he kept talking to manchin and kept in play and one time the president wouldn t speak to
