TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)– After months of community meetings and closing both West Vigo and Deming Elementary to address enrollment issues,
VCSC superintendent, Dr. Rob Haworth, said $7,000 from the United Way of the Wabash Valley for summer work at the new Deming Early Learning Center was exciting.
“When I think as our community understands what’s happening with the Deming building. I think what we’re seeing with not only united way but other community groups rally behind this early childhood education initiative,” he explained.
Along with repurposing Deming Elementary, West Vigo Elementary will be the new home to Vigo County schools administrative staff.
