A group of parents with students in Ashland schools are moving forward with a plan to file legal action against Ashland School District 5 and the state of Oregon, alleging the “widespread neglect of school safety throughout the district.”
An organization formally known as "Parents Demanding School Shooting Safety" has sent a notice to the Ashland School District of their intention for legal action. A coalition of concerned parents is set to hold a press conference outside the Ashland School District offices, where they will publicly address multiple legal actions against the Ashland School District and the Oregon Department of Education on Wednesday.
