CSOs condemn media report about Delta Per Sec over alleged contract execution

A Civil Society Organisations, CSOs, Tuesday, condemned media report on a Permanent Secretary in Delta State Civil Service, Edwin Ogidi Gbegbaje, and Directorate of Protocol, Delta State Government House, Edwin Ogidi Gbegbaje over alleged contract execution.
This was contained in a statement signed by Convener, Competent Governance for Accountability and Civic Trust, CGACT, Amb Godwin Erheriene, debunking the media report by one of the online media platforms.
According to the statement, the report was totally misleading and geared towards defaming and tarnishing the image of Gbegbaje as a public office over the alleged painting contract of two buildings and others.

EXPOSED: Delta State Permanent Secretary Used N52.6 Million To Buy Microphones
Sources at the government house, who confided in SaharaReporters, disclosed that Ogidi-Gbegbaje had in 2017, barely two years of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa s administration, raised a memo for the purchase of wireless microphones for the exco chamber of the new government house to the tune of N52,662,330 million even though the wireless microphones procured in 2014 by the Emmanuel Uduaghan s administration were still in perfect condition.
