This is the fifth part of our Intel Evo vs Apple Silicon series, where we re taking a look at what each side can do better than the other. When I started looking at software compatibility between the M1 MacBook Pro and Intel PCs like the Razer Book and the Spectre x360 14, I kind of expected to be writing something similar to what I wrote when I tested hardware compatibility. After all, there are plenty of peripherals that don t work with macOS, even more than don t work with M1 Macs, and they all work with Intel.
In the fifth part of this series, we're going to be looking at software compatibility, installing Windows on the Mac, trying to use an iPhone with a Windows PC, app compatibility, and more.
Virtoo Gives You Complete Control of Your Phone on LG Laptops
As far as syncing your Android phone with your PC is concerned, Microsoft’s ‘Your Phone’ application has received the most traction. It allows users to sync app notifications, make and receive phone calls, reply to text messages and access their photo library straight from your PC. However, it is only compatible with Samsung phones.
To let its users mirror their phone with laptops, LG has come up with a similar solution called Virtoo for its laptop range. It appears to be a reworked version of the Dell Mobile Connect app. Virtoo can be used with all Android and Windows phones. It can also be used with iPhones, but only for other features. Mirroring is not yet compatible with iPhones.

LG has launched Virtoo, an app that connects LG smartphones and PCs via Bluetooth. Virtoo by LG will let people use various smartphone functions on the PC. Microsoft has previously introduced the Your Phone Windows app which is a good way for users to be able to bridge both PCs and mobile but the reportedly best feature that the app offers are currently only exclusive to just Samsung phones. LG has recently decided to release something that can be seen as slightly similar, which is quite close to the Dell Mobile Connect.
