CHARLESTON – A woman says an incorrect diagnosis of an ectopic pregnancy led to CAMC doctors administering a chemical abortion drug that destroyed her fetus.
A lawsuit unfolds as a woman accuses CAMC Women’s and Children’s Hospital of a misdiagnosis leading to the tragic death of her unborn baby. Attorney L. Dante diTrapano is representing Delicia K. Bannister, alleging that a misdiagnosis of ectopic pregnancy resulted in a chemical abortion. Despite access to previous ultrasound images, CAMC allegedly failed to recognize a pre-existing fibroid mass. This alleged negligence led to devastating consequences, further exacerbated by West Virginia’s anti-abortion laws, according to the lawsuit.
