With the number of COVID-19 cases steadily declining in Delhi, the Delhi Metro services will be resumed for the general public from June 7 (Monday) with 50 per cent seating capacity, the DMRC said on Saturday. On Monday, only half of the available trains will be inducted into service with a frequency ranging from approx. 5 to 15 min on different Lines, said the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation.

NEW DELHI: Delhi Disaster Management Authority on Saturday issued an order permitting operations of manufacturing/production units within closed premises in approved industrial areas and construction activities within their work sites from Monday (May 31) 5am onwards. The lockdown has, however, been extended till June 7 (5am).
All existing restrictions, including the suspension of Delhi Metro services and bar on weddings in public places and all wholesale and retail markets, will stay till 5am on June 7. Movement of individuals is prohibited except those engaged in essential and permitted activities. Movement of workers and employees will be allowed only on the possession of e-pass (in soft or hard copy). It can be obtained by submitting an online application on the Delhi government website (www.delhi.gov.in). O

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday (May 28) announced the unlocking process in the national capital will begin on Monday (May 31) This lockdown will last till 5 am of Monday. We will begin the unlocking process. Construction activities and factories will be reopened from Monday keeping the daily wage workers in mind, the Delhi Chief Minister said. He also said that the positivity rate has come down to 1.5 per cent and around 1,100 cases have been reported in the last 24 hours in Delhi.
