The investigation by the EOW revealed that the number of victims was much larger, with 29 of them also hailing from Nepal. Police officers estimated the scam collectively amounted to between Rs 4-5 crore.
The police said that the woman was cheated after she visited an advertisement link on Instagram regarding vacancies in an airline company and lost more than Rs 8 lakh.
