Five Spanish firefighters go missing on a mountain in the Dominican Republic while canyoning. Authorities received "notice" of the disappearance of those five people on Friday morning. The Spaniards, three men and two women, all firefighters in Seville, arrived in the country on Nov. 14 to practice canyoned. The five Spaniards disappeared at a time when they separated from their compatriot Eduardo Gómez, who had arrived in this Caribbean country a few days earlier. They disappeared on a hill in the municipality of La Ciénega, in the province of Barahona.
