Montonio Moore, a Cape Coral man also known as Trigga Slim, will serve 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to selling more than $5,000 in fentanyl.
Moore, 40, was sentenced Tuesday by U.S. District Court Judge John Badalamenti in the Fort Myers federal courthouse.
He was sentenced to an enhanced term of imprisonment because of prior serious drug offense convictions. His guilty plea was entered on Jan. 27.
On Aug. 27 a grand jury returned a one-count indictment against Moore charging that on June 12, 2020, he distributed 40 grams or more of fentanyl.
The sale was carried out in a sting operation involving a confidential source, the Cape Coral and Fort Myers police departments and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration s Fort Myers Resident Office.
