KENNETT SQUARE â Dan Maisano, a Chester County Magisterial District Judge for 22 years, and a senior Magisterial District Judge, has died. He was 68.
He oversaw the court from his Kennett Square building and presided over more than 5,000 cases per year. He handled preliminary hearings on all criminal matters, civil cases up to $12,000, all landlord tenant matters and all traffic and non-traffic matters.
Chester County Common Pleas Court Judge Bret Binder said he found Maisano to be encouraging, helpful and knowledgeable.

âHe had a passion for the law, and a passion for helping people,â Binder said. âHe was a great resource for the community and he always had a smile on his face. He was working up until a few weeks ago.â
