DELAWARE On Monday, U.S. Senator Chris Coons spoke on behalf of thousands of Delawareans experiencing mail delays because of what he says is toxic leadership at the United States Postal service.
Speaking on the Senate floor, Sen. Coons says he has no beef with the men and women of the postal service but he has quote “real and deep concerns about how the postal service is being run under the current poster master general”, Louis DeJoy. The senator believes DeJoy’s leadership has plagued the postal service, 5,000 Delaware residents asking for robust funding for the postal service, wanting stronger vote by mail initiatives, and hundreds reporting delays of their mail.

Local non-profit shows great support for frontline workers during pandemic

SALISBURY, Md. Operation We Care, an all-volunteer non-profit organization in Salisbury continues to show their and support for front-line workers and first responders during the coronavirus pandemic.
On Monday, the organization delivered pizza from Maya Bella’s Pizzeria to a team of health care workers from the Wicomico County Health Department, operating the vaccination clinic at the Civic Center. The organization also says they delivered several care packages to staff to get them through the tough days of the pandemic.
Operation We care founder, Jeff Merritt says this is gesture is a thank you for their efforts to promote public health. Merritt says in part quote, “we just wanted to reach out and show our support. Let them know that the community is behind them and their efforts so it’s no secret that we’re suffering from pandemic fatigue at this point. ” Merritt adds that
